St. Louis, MO – January 13, 2016 - Observable Networks Inc., an emerging leader of network security technology and advanced threat detection services, today announced an agreement with Schneider Electric to provide Observable Networks’ Dynamic Endpoint Modeling, a critical threat defense service, for Schneider Electric’s networked solutions in North America.
Observable Networks’ patented device behavior modeling technology allows for the establishment and maintenance of a concrete representation of normal device behavior, so that threats can be accurately and concisely identified as deviations from legitimate device behavior. This unique approach to industrial security provides valuable, actionable intelligence and significantly minimizes distractions due to false alarms. Under the terms of the agreement, Schneider Electric will deploy Observable’s security service in coordination with existing security services with the goal of adding advanced threat detection to their portfolio.
"The agreement between Observable Networks and Schneider Electric will allow us to provide our customers with an effective and affordable solution that assists them in defending their Operations Technology (OT) network, while also giving them insight into the behavior of devices on their network. Once commissioned, OT systems generally have fairly consistent network traffic flow between endpoints,” said Michael Pyle, VP of Cyber Security for Schneider Electric’s Partner Business. “In the OT world, any unexpected deviation from the norm is reason to be suspicious and should be investigated further. Observable Networks ability to detect abnormal behavior on the network uniquely addresses this need, making their solution a perfect fit for the OT space. We will be offering a Schneider Electric solution based on Observable Networks technology to customers across all of our commercial and industrial market segments.”
“We are thrilled to work with Schneider Electric establish a new baseline of OT security service and threat detection,” said Bryan Doerr, CEO of Observable Networks. “Observable Networks’ service effectively models all devices within any of Schneider Electric’s solutions, flagging risky changes in behavior that provides Schneider Electric with next-generation security monitoring.”
About Observable Networks
Observable Networks, Inc. is an emerging leader of network security technology and advanced threat detection services that identify compromised and misused networked devices currently escaping detection by network security tools. Observable’s endpoint modeling technology includes a cloud-based service platform incorporating automated security analytics and real-time traffic sensors to continuously model all devices on networks of any size, all the time. Endpoint modeling is indifferent to encryption and does not use threat signatures. Observable empowers organizations to readily understand normal and abnormal device behaviors in their networks, helping them to identify compromised devices and facilitate faster remediation. Observable Networks is a privately held company headquartered in St. Louis, MO. For more information, please visit www.observable.net
